Safety:

All members are reminded that operating machinery is dangerous, and safety practices must be exercised at all times. Your safety is your responsibility! However, if you see anyone acting in a manner that is dangerous to themselves or others, do not hesitate to bring it to their attention, and where appropriate, to the attention of a committee member. Lets help each other to avoid injury. Safety cut-out switches have been fitted to all machinery in the club, so before you start up a piece of machinery, find the cut-out switch. The first-aid box is located in the kitchen, and is presently being up-graded to include a doctor, three nurses and a tea lady.

Cleanliness:

The cleanliness of the club is every members responsibility, not just the members who use machines. Plenty of brooms are available in the store room, many hands make light work.

Tools and Equipment:

The club supplies an array of tools to be used within the clubhouse, with the various machines. These tools are for the use of clubmembers and bonafide students only. The club has a policy that tools and equipment may only be borrowed for demonstrations away from the club.

Tea, Coffee and Biscuits:

By putting $2 into the money box on arrival, refreshments can regularly be made available to all members and guests at every meeting at the club.

Toilet:

The toilet is located within the building, at the left rear of the building, behind the storage room.

The Cupboard:

The club carries a limited amount of merchandise eg. Club shirts and caps, and expendable matererials which may be purchased by members on any day the club is open. A full list of the stocked items with costs appears in the monthly newsletter.

Library:

We now have a well stocked library containing books, videos and magazines. These may be borrowed from the library at any time, there are only a few restrictions relating to the new material, initially they are to be used at the clubhouse for the first month, then progress to short term loan, then to open loan.

Library rules are displayed inside the library door. Remember that somebody else may be waiting to read/view the material you have borrowed, so as soon as you are finished with the item, please return it to the library. The library is there for your benefit, so please use it.

A full list of books, magazines and videos that we have available is available here.
